Greenpeace SE Asia & Serikat Buruh Migran Indonesia (Indonesian Migrant Workers Union or SBMI) released report entitled “Seabound: The journey to modern slavery on the high seas.”

This GPSEA/SBMI report names 13 fishing vessels involved in complaints by 34 Indonesian migrant fishers that suggest forced labour including e.g. deception, withholding wages, excessive overtime, & physical & sexual abuse.

2 of these vessels are MSC certified as part of the Fiji Albacore & Yellowfin Tuna Longline group.
